Lyric Tenor
and Classical Guitarist Neil Simon originates from Hastings and initially studied the classical guitar before
discovering his additional talent for singing.
Neil trained as a tenor with the ENO Baylis programme directed by Mary
King and studied singing with tenor John Mitchinson. he currently studies with Marie Mclaughlin and Gerald Martin Moore.
Neil's
Classical Guitar studies were with Timothy Walker, Carlos Bonell and Eleftheria Kotzia and he also appeared in masterclasses
with Ben Verdery, John Mills and Paolo Bellinati at the Classical Guitar Festival of Great Britain.
Performances in
2006 currently include regular appearances at Hanbury Manor, Hatfield House and local restaurants in Hertfordshire. He
is appearing in Cosi Fan Tutte with London Opera Players and in a special recital of English Music at the Hitchin
Festival.
